Henley Car Club Celebrates Membership Milestone!

In less than 8 months the Henley Car Club has achieved 50 members!

Dave McEwen, from Greener Henley, who pioneered the Car Club initiative in Henley, said “this is a real milestone for us – reaching  50 members in just under 8 months is a great achievement. We are thrilled!”

“This is just the beginning. We know that there are many more residents and businesses who could reap the benefits of Pay as You Go Motoring. Getting rid of a car that is only used occasionally saves money and makes a big dent in everyone’s carbon footprint. It is a win-win!”

HOW DOES CAR CLUB WORK?
It’s very simple – users just pay for the time that they use the car. Rates are £5.75 per hour, £46.00 per day, plus 20p per mile. You don’t pay for insurance, maintenance, fuel, MOT, or tax. Good for your wallet and good for the planet!

Currently, Henley Car Club has two cars available for use by members – both Toyota Yaris Hybrids. One is situated at 58 Market Place, behind the Town Hall and the other on the Reading Road, outside Gibbs and Dandy. Due to the success of the scheme so far, there are already discussions about a 3rd Car Club car, which will be fully electric.

Until the end of April, you can join for just £1 and receive £25 driving credit.
