Outreach group
Greener Henley’s Outreach Group looks at ways we can reach out to the Henley community to raise awareness of the climate and ecological emergency and all that Greener Henley is doing. The group comes together with ideas and plans to engage all sectors of the Henley community which means focussing on creating good partnerships with schools, local businesses, the council and Henley residents. Outreach works closely with the Comms team to organise events and present a Greener Henley presence in the town.
We are pleased to have regular features in our two local newspapers. In September 2021 we organised Henley’s first Great Big Green Week, pulling together lots of different organisations and businesses to celebrate and highlight all things environmental that are going on in the town and surrounding areas.
For 2022 we plan to hold family-friendly activities as well as general interest meetings. We are taking part in the Henley Chelsea Fringe for the first time this year and Great Big Green Week will be an important feature again this September.
We continue to make links with and give talks to groups within the Henley area on a broad range of subjects around climate and environment.
