Speak Up For Our River!

Did you know that Thames Water dumped raw sewage into the River Thames and its tributaries for more than 70,000 hours in 2021 and into the River Thames at Henley for over 400 hours?

Please join us to stand against this sewage in our rivers. The Henley Mermaids, Henley Open Water Swimming Club, Greener Henley, Windrush Against Sewage Pollution, Oxford Rivers Improvement Network and others will be at the Red Lion Lawn at 9am on 5 November to raise our voices together against sewage pollution!

When – Saturday 5 November, 9am

Where – on the riverbank at Red Lion Lawn (opposite the Relais, next to Henley Bridge)

There will be speakers, refreshments, unveiling of a Blue Plaque and prizes for the best costumes and banners! Marshalls will guide people to the bridge for a photo shoot and for the unveiling of the plaque. Find more info here.
