Join us at the Henley Regal Picturehouse for a special one-off Green Screen of the award-winning documentary film The Nettle Dress, followed by a panel discussion with director Dylan Howitt

Greener Henley’s next Green Screen event at the Regal cinema is on Thursday 8th February at 6:15pm.

The Nettle Dress tells the story of textile artist Allan Brown as he spends seven years weaving fabric from nettles foraged locally. The film is a gentle yet moving account of how weaving helps Allan deal with grief and loss as he revives the almost forgotten craft of creating garments out of nettles.

After the film there will be a panel discussion with the director to explore the topics raised in the film and an opportunity for cinema goers to ask questions.

The panel includes film maker and director Dylan Howitt,  Romilly Swann – specialist in native natural textiles and Carol Crowdy – feltmaker and spinner.
