FINITE: The Climate of Change
Join us at the Henley Regal Picturehouse for a special one-off Green Screen of the documentary film FINITE: The Climate of Change on Thursday 23 March at 6:50pm, followed by a live Q&A session with our expert panel, including the film’s director, Rich Felgate!
In Germany, concerned citizens step forward to save an ancient forest from one of Europe’s largest coal mines. They form an unlikely alliance with a frustrated community in rural England who are forced into action to protect their homes from a new opencast coal mine. This feature-length film follows ordinary residents protesting to coal mining in Britain and Germany and reveals the relentless campaigning, direct action and creative protest that ordinary people took to stop the devastation in both locations.
FINITE: The Climate of Change is an insider’s view of the world of direct action; a raw, authentic and motional insight into the David and Goliath battle between frontline communities, activists and fossil fuel corporations.

After the film we’ll be joined by a panel for a Q&A session. The panel will be hosted by Ed Hopkins, founder of Dark Green PR and a green communications expert, and will include the film’s director and 2 local experts:
- Rich Felgate: the film’s director – a climate activist turned filmmaker
- Councillor Jo Robb: Green Party Councillor for South Oxfordshire District Council’s Woodcote and Rotherfield Ward
- Chris Church: Campaigns officer, Oxford Friends of the Earth and Director of Community Environment Associate
Adult tickets cost £10.
Doors open at 6:50pm, with the formal part of the event ending around 9.30pm, followd by an invitation to continue the conversation in the cinema foyer until 10pm. Bring your re-usable cups for free filter tea/filter coffee in the conversation space.
