Join Greener Henley for an informative and bat-tastic evening learning all about these nocturnal creatures with the Berks & South Bucks Bat Group.

We’ll learn some of the secrets of bats, address some common bat misconceptions and uncover interesting facts and insights too – like how you can help bats in our local area by creating a bat-friendly garden, installing a bat box or simply by being a citizen scientist by observing and counting bats in your garden.

Then we’ll embark on a guided tour to observe these captivating creatures in action by the riverside*, there’ll also be the opportunity to try out some bat detectors to help us listen out for the bats as they fly around hunting for insects using their amazing echolocation calls.
*seeing bats on the walk will be weather dependent – if it’s very wet, cold or windy there might not be many about.
