Greener Henley’s Big Green Festival
Market Place, Henley – 10am-4pm
Saturday 6th June 2026

Our Big Green Festival will be buzzing with lots of different stalls and activities for all on Saturday 6th June from 10am, and it’s completely free – don’t miss it! We’ll be celebrating all the local action happening on climate and nature.

You can visit our Nature Squared hub for free plants to get your own patch of plants for pollinators started, take part in a drumming and circus workshop,  or chat with local nature groups – including Henley’s beloved Toad Patrollers – about how we can best support wildlife. Pop to the Bee Friendly Henley stall to find out how to make a bee hotel and paint bees on stones.

We’ll have Live bats (shh! Try to be quiet for them) coming along with Berks and South Bucks Bat Group, plus advice on saving money and energy with Save Energy Co-op , as well as plenty of Greener Henley stalls to keep you entertained. Our popular Pledge Cafe returns – make a Pledge for the Planet and get a free cuppa and one of our delicious cookies! Find out about some of the local organisations and people who have taken a pledge with us this year – why they did it and what it means to them.

Join Mill Meadows mural artist Vickie Amiralis for creative games related to the River Thames habitat, test your science knowledge at Will’s Wonderful World, or visit Brigida the Brilliant face painter, who will be painting little creatures on little cheeks. This year we have a very special new visitor – the Floodmobile – affectionately known as ‘Flo’. Come and find out about the multitude of simple safety measures you can take at home or work if waters rise.

There will be plenty of family-friendly fun and interesting things to find out and do – we’ve got a recycled glass painting workshop this year, plus we’ll have our giant snakes and ladders game, and lots, lots more!

Explore how you can get involved with protecting and restoring nature locally with Greener Henley – helping to make Henley and our local villages safer, cleaner and greener! Come and find out what your local climate and nature action charity is all about.
