Wild Orchid Project

Sunday 7 December 2026, 10 am, Whitchurch-on-Thames.

Andy Byfield, one of Britain’s leading plant conservationists is working on a couple of local wild orchid projects, and he has asked for help with some of the practical work.

On 7 December, he would like help with raking leaves etc, on the Lady Orchid site in Whitchurch.

Andy will be there all day and volunteers are welcome to come along for just a couple of hours, if they wish.

With luck, he will show us the plants in flower next year. They are in a locked enclosure so you can’t see them unless someone lets you in.
