GBGW 2024 – Greening Your Business
Greening Your Business
River & Rowing Museum – 5.30-7.30pm
Thursday 13th June
Join other local businesses at this free, interactive workshop, on Thursday 13 June, where you will learn how the green agenda will help your business cut costs, reduce waste, reduce your carbon footprint and inspire customer loyalty.
One of the key events in Great Big Green Week 2024, Greening Your Business will open with short presentations including one from Clare Myers, Head of Corporate and Social Responsibility at Invesco, illustrating some of the valuable progress being made to bring about change.
The workshop is designed to enable sole traders, retailers and small businesses to learn about practical and impactful activities to “green their business” and build connections within the local business community. Whether you are just starting to address climate concerns or have made good progress, Greening Your Business will give you valuable ideas and help you move forward for the planet, whilst your business thrives.
Come and hear some inspirational stories and meet fellow local business people who have experience to share, at a workshop that will help you cut through concerns about costs and ‘greenwashing’ and bring clarity on what to do next.
Our guest speakers will include:
- Claire Myers, Director Corporate Responsibility at Invesco. Clare will illustrate some of the valuable progress being made to bring about change.
- Martin Gibson from JBA, one of the world’s leading environmental and engineering consultancies. Martin will talk about sustainability actions for small businesses. He is also a founder member of Sustainability Harwell.
There will be light refreshments kindly provided by local companies.
