Cut running costs – go electric or share

Join the major transition to electric vehicles (EVs) to cut running costs and reduce particulate pollution so detrimental to everyone’s health. EV options are increasing and are now available for car fleets, taxis, buses, trains, vans, and HGVs.

  •  Electric cars are getting cheaper all the time. Check out EV options at https://www.electrifying.com/
  •  If you’re looking to buy or lease an EV, find out about the UK government’s EV grant scheme – and which EVs get discounts – with this quick RAC explainer
  • Consider ‘pay-as-you-go’ car use, with Henley Car Club – a local scheme that gives residents affordable access to electric and low-emission vehicles without the cost or hassle of owning a car or installing a charger, helping reduce traffic, free up parking spaces and improve local air quality.
  • Using public transport is another great way to share – maybe the bus is an option for getting to work, into town, or to Reading? Whilst Henley itself isn’t currently well served with electric buses, Oxford and Reading. Things are changing on this front. Taking the bus contributes to less traffic and better air quality – as well as more time to read or look out of the window!
