SUMMARY:GH WILDLIFE GROUP - Mill/Marsh Meadows
DESCRIPTION:GH WILDLIFE GROUP – Mill/Marsh Meadows \nDate and time: Wednesday 6 November\, 9:30 – 12:30 \nMeeting place: the Mill Meadows car park\, just beyond the River & Rowing Museum\, RG9 1BF\, SU766820\nThe Town Council will allow volunteers to park for free for the duration of the work party \nThings to bring: gardening gloves \n\nThis year the Town Council is giving us more help with cutting and raking up the tall vegetation around the ponds so our tasks for this session will depend on how much they have managed to do. As always\, litter picking will be on the agenda for anyone willing to do it. See below for the more general information. \n  \nGreener Henley Wildlife Group sessions \n\nOur sessions are generally pleasant and sociable occasions. Some of the work is quite strenuous\, but there are always lighter tasks for those who would prefer them\, for whatever reason. We have a break mid-morning when refreshments are provided: tea\, coffee and cake. Please bring your own gardening gloves. Any gardening gloves will be all right for tasks like pulling Himalayan Balsam but heavier ones will be needed for working with brambles. No previous experience is necessary\, and tools are usually provided. Tough clothes and stout footwear are recommended. Marsh Meadows is often wet underfoot so waterproof footwear is recommended when we are working there\, particularly if working in the pond area. Volunteers are welcome to join us for the full three hours or any part of them. \n\n\nIf you intend coming to work parties and haven’t already provided the information in the table below\, could I please ask you to do so. \n\n\n\n\nYour Contact Details\n\n\nName:\n \n\n\nAddress:\n \n\n\nHome phone:\n \n\n\nMobile:\n \n\n\nEmail:\n \n\n\nSignature: \n  \n \nDate:

SUMMARY:Green Screen - Common Ground
DESCRIPTION:November’s Green Screen  – Common Ground \nOn November 11\, to coincide with the opening of COP29\, Greener Henley and the Regal Picturehouse will host a special screening of the film Common Ground at 8:00 PM. This documentary shines a light on the inspiring figures leading the regenerative farming movement in the United States. After the screening\, there will be a pre-recorded Q&A montage from the film’s American tour\, featuring insights from experts and pioneers in the regenerative movement. \nJoin this event to learn more about soil health\, explore ways to support local ecosystems\, and better understand the role of regenerative agriculture in addressing the climate crisis. \nTickets available at the Regal Picturehouse box office online or in person.
