SUMMARY:LEANING INTO THE WIND - Green Screen Film
DESCRIPTION:Greener Henley is pleased to be hosting our next Green Screen event Leaning Into The Wind at the Regal Cinema on 17th April @ 8pm.\nLeaning into the Wind is an observation of British artist Andy Goldsworthy at work\, shaping and interacting with nature around the world. It follows Andy on his exploration of the layers of his world and the impact of the years on himself and his art. \nDescribed by the Art Blog as ‘A beautiful film\, it’s an embrace of this intriguing earth artist and his magical interventions.’  Don’t miss it \nBook your tickets here. \nAs Goldsworthy introduces his own body into the work it becomes at the same time even more fragile and personal and also sterner and tougher\, incorporating massive machinery and crews on his bigger projects. Riedelsheimer’s exquisite film illuminates Goldsworthy’s mind as it reveals his art. \nWatch the trailer\n\n \nFollowing the screening there will be a panel discussion with local artists who all take their inspiration from nature and wildlife: James Ort\, a sculptor with a lifelong fascination in wildlife and a former career in conservation; London-born contemporary artist Neo Cartouche who explores themes of nature and identity through interdisciplinary art forms; and Harriet Riddell\, a performance textile artist and educator.\n \n  \nNot been to a Green Screen before?\nCheck out this short video and find out what it’s all about. \n \n‘Green Screen’ is an opportunity to discuss environmental issues raised in the film shown. Everyone is welcome to continue the conversation after the screening in the Regal’s upstairs seating area. All ticket holders can enjoy a free tea or filter coffee if they bring a keep cup! \nBook your tickets for the film screening directly from the Regal or call 020 7326 2649
