SUMMARY:Green Screen: Six Inches of Soil
DESCRIPTION:Greener Henley is pleased to be hosting our next Green Screen event Six Inches of Soil at the Regal Cinema on 27th March @ 8pm. This screening is now SOLD OUT! But…\n\nBreaking News!! WE NOW HAVE AN ADDITIONAL SCREENING of Six Inches of Soil @6pm Wednesday 27th March. Please note that the 6pm screening will be just the film only\, no panel\, but there will still be an opportunity to continue the conversation in the bar area afterwards with the film’s producer\, Claire Mackenzie. \nBook your tickets for the 6pm film screening (no panel) here. \nSix Inches of Soil is a British independent full feature documentary shining a spotlight on soil health and regenerative farming. It tells the inspiring story of young British farmers standing up against the industrial food system and transforming the way they produce food – to heal the soil\, our health and provide for local communities. The film aims to sound the alarm on a broken system\, but to also give hope that there is a way to fix it; to inspire farmers to adopt agroecological and regenerative farming practices; and to encourage consumers\, food corporations and policymakers to support their efforts. \nWatch the trailer here \n \nAfter the film we’ll be joined by the film’s producer\, Claire Mackenzie and a panel of local experts:\n\nIain Tolhurst: Tolhurst Organic – Iain Tolhurst (known to all as Tolly) has been growing organically for over 40 years and stockfree for over 30.  Tolhurst Organic farm is a living example of a thriving farm set in just under 20 acres\, using absolutely no animal inputs and producing a vast array and vegetables and fruits for the local customers.\nMaria Spink: Colstrope Farm\, Hambledon – Originally from Finland\, Maria Spink more recently gave up her work in London to focus on regenerating the landscape around her farm near Hambleden.  Maria now focuses on growing wild flower to bring beautiful butterflies back to our countryside\, alongside rearing Dexter cattle.\nJames Porter: English Farm\, Nuffield\, is the home to 100% grass-fed English Longhorn. Their organic system of rotational and conservational mob grazing allows the animals to behave as close to as nature intended.\nChaired by Joy Skipper – a Registered Nutritionist with a real passion for sustainable\, delicious food. Joy writes food features and cookery books as well as advising clients on the benefits of a healthy diet and lifestyle.\n\n\n\nThis promises to be an inspiring screening and conversation on our food system and how the choices we make in our daily lives impact the future. Come join the discussion. \nNot been to a Green Screen before?\nWatch this short video and find out what it’s all about. \n \n‘Green Screen’ is an opportunity to discuss environmental issues raised in the film shown. Everyone is welcome to continue the conversation after the screening in the Regal’s upstairs seating area. All ticket holders can enjoy a free tea or filter coffee if they bring a keep cup! \nBook your tickets for the 6pm film screening (no panel) directly from the Regal or call 020 7326 2649\nPlease note that tickets for the later 8pm screening with panel are now SOLD OUT. \nYou can delve more deeply into the film and the issues raised in it here\n \n  \n  \n\n

SUMMARY:LEANING INTO THE WIND - Green Screen Film
DESCRIPTION:Greener Henley is pleased to be hosting our next Green Screen event Leaning Into The Wind at the Regal Cinema on 17th April @ 8pm.\nLeaning into the Wind is an observation of British artist Andy Goldsworthy at work\, shaping and interacting with nature around the world. It follows Andy on his exploration of the layers of his world and the impact of the years on himself and his art. \nDescribed by the Art Blog as ‘A beautiful film\, it’s an embrace of this intriguing earth artist and his magical interventions.’  Don’t miss it \nBook your tickets here. \nAs Goldsworthy introduces his own body into the work it becomes at the same time even more fragile and personal and also sterner and tougher\, incorporating massive machinery and crews on his bigger projects. Riedelsheimer’s exquisite film illuminates Goldsworthy’s mind as it reveals his art. \nWatch the trailer\n\n \nFollowing the screening there will be a panel discussion with local artists who all take their inspiration from nature and wildlife: James Ort\, a sculptor with a lifelong fascination in wildlife and a former career in conservation; London-born contemporary artist Neo Cartouche who explores themes of nature and identity through interdisciplinary art forms; and Harriet Riddell\, a performance textile artist and educator.\n \n  \nNot been to a Green Screen before?\nCheck out this short video and find out what it’s all about. \nBook your tickets for the film screening directly from the Regal or call 020 7326 2649
