Talk to other local leaders – at work, or at your local club, church or school – and let them know if there’s something you’d like them to get involved with, or a policy you’d like to see taken on board. Sometimes it may be easier to speak to your friends, neighbours or colleagues first. Often you will find that others have the same concerns as you but may not have found a way to voice them. Together, you may feel more confident approaching leaders and making the case for positive change.
