Help keep the Thames healthy for wildlife and people

The River Thames is the heart of Henley – a place to swim, row, walk and watch wildlife. But it’s under threat from sewage pollution and litter. The good news is there are simple, safe ways to help.

Get along to one of Henley’s regular clean-up events:

  • Henley Royal Regatta River Clean – keep an eye out for dates
  • Follow Lynne Lambourne for news of her regular Thames clean-ups.
  • Contact Friends of the Thames about becoming a River Guardian, or helping the River Guardians to remove rubbish and invasive species, outfall safaris etc.
